Special Delivery to the UK, C.I. and Isle of Man

With a host of additional benefits, Special Delivery is the recommended service of choice for sending items of value to the UK and the other islands. Special Delivery comes with a wide range of insurance options and is available from all Guernsey Post branches.

• Guaranteed next working day delivery by 9am or 1pm (Monday to Friday) for documents and goods (subject to pre-payment of import VAT*) to CI, IOM and most UK destinations.
• Options of Saturday delivery (£2 extra)
• Secure handling.
• Proof of posting.
• Signature on delivery.
• Confirmation of delivery using Track and Trace online** or by calling Customer Services after 3pm on the day of delivery.
• Free proof of delivery.
• Compensation for loss or damage of items, subject to proof of cost, proof of posting and level of insurance (does not include consequential loss).
• Available from all Guernsey Post branches.

* Next day guarantee available on all goods and for gifts over £36, if Import VAT is prepaid. All other items need to be Customs Cleared first if Import VAT is not prepaid.
**Online Track and Trace not available for deliveries to Alderney and Sark

• Guaranteed next working day delivery

• With Special Delivery we guarantee delivery* for documents and goods to most UK destinations (including Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey) by 1pm the next working day.
• Delivery to some destinations takes a little longer but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5:30pm.
• Special Delivery cannot be used for delivery to an Admail address.
• Document packages must be clearly marked 'DOCUMENTS'.
• Special Delivery items cannot be posted in Postboxes.

Sending Items Special Delivery for repair or valuation

Please be aware that postal Packets and Parcels with a value exceeding £2,000 or items for temporary importation regardless of the value e.g. repairs or valuations, are subject to Border Force clearance procedures. Please click here for more information.

There is no next day delivery guarantee available on items to be send for repair and valuation.

Guaranteed Saturday 1pm delivery

We offer a guaranteed delivery service on a Saturday (except for Alderney, Srak & Herm). Click here for latest acceptable posting times.

Exclusions

Special Delivery applies only to the UK and Channel Islands and is not available for items posted to the Republic of Ireland. Guernsey Post can advise on alternative services for items posted to the Republic of Ireland.

Locations

We deliver most items the next working day by 9am or 1pm - depending on the service you select. We also deliver Saturdays if the item arrives at our local office that day, but we can't guarantee delivery.
