Standard UK Straight Line Pricing (SLP)
How to use this service
This is a tariff available on consignments of mail and is designed to benefit account customers mailing weights in excess of 100g. It provides a saving that overcomes the penalty imposed by the standard step-weight pricing system by achieving a price based on the average weight of the mail consignment rather than the standard step based price applicable on each individual item.

Each item posted must carry a PPI impression.

Each consignment posted must be accompanied by a completed PPI posting docket including details of number of items and weight of the consignment distinguishing between items at 100g or less and those above. This postings book is different to the posting book issued for PPI services.

All mail items weighing 100g or less must be separately bagged from those in excess of 100g.

Each consignment must be bagged in standard posting bags.

The minimum quantity is 100 items per consignment.

Where flowers are sent using approved Flower Boxes then the minimum consignment quantity will be reduced to 10 items, but this level will be subject to review.

Guernsey Post reserves the right to divert these to sea transportation when there is insufficient air capacity, airport closure etc.
Postage account holders wishing to send consignments using straight line pricing will need to complete a separate postings book designed for this service only.
