With American Express you also have the advantage of access to a global and comprehensive network of offices and agents, which means your travellers cheques can be replaced within 24 hours if required.
BATIF provides American Express travellers cheques in Sterling and Euros as well as US, Australian and Canadian Dollars in 50 and 100 denominations.

- Keep your purchase receipt separate. This contains your unique American Express travellers cheque serial number and contact telephone number.
- Never countersign your travellers cheques until you want to use them.
- Always try to carry your travellers cheques separate from your wallet, cash and credit cards.
Buying your travellers cheques
To order travellers cheques along with your currency visit a BATIF location, order online or telephone us on 01481 723069. Payment will be made at the time of collection.
Please note that a 1% commission is added to our published exchange rates for travellers cheques.
All American Express travellers cheques issued by BATIF must be collected in person from our main Bureau de Change at the Tourist Information Centre. A member of our BATIF team will show you how to countersign them when you use them abroad.
Any unused travellers cheques can be converted back to Sterling at BATIF Bureau de Change using our 'buy back' service.
