How to Order
At BATIF we know the value of a good, fast and efficient service. With BATIF you can order online, by telephone or by going to any of our convenient BATIF locations.
- ORDERING ONLINE
- You can order all of our foreign exchange services online. Orders placed online are confirmed by BATIF and can be collected from our Bureau de Change at the Tourist Information Centre in St Peter Port or at our participating Post Offices.
- Please allow 48 hours for your order to arrive.
- ORDERING BY PHONE
- Telephone orders can be placed by calling 01481 723069, Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm.
- Orders placed by telephone can be collected from BATIF Bureau de Change at the Tourist Information Centre in St Peter Port, or from any of our Post Offices if you pay over the telephone at time of ordering.
- Orders placed before 1pm can be collected after 11am the following day from BATIF Bureau de Change at the Tourist Information Centre
- If you choose to collect from a Post Office please allow 48 hours for delivery.
- ORDERING AT A BATIF LOCATION
- Ordering couldnt be easier simply pop into any of our BATIF locations to place your order in person.
- A wide range of foreign currency banknotes are available from BATIF Bureau de Change at the Tourist Information Centre and also from our main Post Offices at Smith Street and Envoy House.
- Our smaller Post Offices hold stocks of Euros and US Dollars.
- At Guernsey Airport you can also buy Euros from our outlet at the Tourist Information Desk.
- USING THE BUY BACK SERVICE
- If you have any foreign banknotes or travellers cheques left over from your travels we will convert them back into Sterling at your request.
- BATIF Bureau de Change at the Tourist Information Centre accepts a wide range of global currencies and will exchange your money and travellers cheques immediately.
- If you are holding Euros or US Dollars you can change these back into Sterling at any of our participating Post Offices.
- For more information on our ‘buy back' service please call us on 01481 723069. Please note that we cannot exchange foreign coins.
- ORDERING TRAVELLERS CHEQUES
- You can order your travellers cheques by telephone, online or in person at any of our BATIF locations.
- Travellers cheques must be collected in person at our BATIF Bureau de Change at the Tourist Information Centre. You will be asked to pay at the time of your order and show identification when collecting your cheques.
- PAYMENT METHODS
- BATIF accepts cash, debit card and personal cheques only if accompanied by the correct cheque guarantee card and up to the limit shown on the card. Please note because we do not charge any commission for our foreign exchange service we are unable to accept credit cards.
- Customers purchasing over £5,000 worth of foreign currency and paying by cash must have photographic identification, proof of address and proof of source of funds.
