FedEx size and weight limits

For FedEx International Priority, rates are based on the total weight of all packages in one shipment using one air waybill.

Any fraction of a kilogram takes the next higher weight. When dimensional weights exceed actual weight, shipments will be charged according to the IATA volumetric standard. This applies to large bulky items that are light in weight so pricing is calculated by size not weight.

To work out the dimensional weight in kg per package = Length x height x width in cm / 6,000.

For example, if your package is 90cm long by 70cm in height and 50cm in width and weighs 2kg: 90 (length) x 70 (height) x 50 (width) / 6,000 = 52.5kg

FedEx dimensions

Maximum 274cm in length (always longest side).

Maximum 330cm in length and girth combined. Length and girth = length + (2 x height) + (2 x width).

For example, if your package is 90cm long by 70cm in height and 50cm in width:
90 (length) + 140 (2 x height) + 100 (2 x width) = 330cm

Any package exceeding these standard measures is automatically considered as FedEx International Priority Freight and charged accordingly.
