Additional Postal Services for Christmas

Guernsey Post is working hard this festive season to make our customers' lives easier, by offering extended opening hours and Sunday opening for parcel collection; additional island-wide parcel and post deliveries and extended opening hours at our Smith Street branch.

We are also extending the date until which customers can buy and use our reduced rate Christmas card stamps until Saturday 12 December 2009 to enable customers to post at the cheaper rate.

In addition to our usual services we will be offering the following:

Extra Post Office Opening Hours

Smith Street Post Office:

• Saturday 19 December - open until 4pm

Envoy House Post Office:

• Saturday 19 December - open until 2pm

 

Extra Parcel Collection Hours

In addition to its normal opening hours, the parcel collection counter at Envoy House will be open as follows:
• Saturday 19 December - open until 4pm
• Christmas Eve - open until 4pm

 

Extra Postal Delivery Services

• Saturday 19 December - Additional island-wide parcel delivery

• Sunday 20 December - Additional island-wide parcel delivery

Extra Customer Support
Our customer services team will be offering extended support until 6pm (normally 5pm) on all weekdays between now and the 23rd December and will be working from 8.30am until 4pm on Christmas Eve.

‘Our customers are always our priority, but never more so than at Christmas,' said Shaun Lihou, Operations Manager.' We are organising additional deliveries and opening hours to enable people to post and collect items, have mail and parcels delivered and contact our customer services team outside our normal opening hours. These additional services tie in with expected peak volumes of mail coming into the island.'
