Discount Stamps Stop This Friday

Guernsey Post is reminding customers that the reduced rate Christmas stamps (31p), for use on local Christmas cards, are only on sale and for use from now until 11th December.

To enable people to purchase their stamps and get their cards posted in time for Friday's last post cut off, Guernsey Post is putting in place an additional till for cash-only purchase of stamps at Envoy House and Smith Street between 12 - 2 and 3.45 - 4.45. This will be in addition to the full range of tills ordinarily available in these branches.

Customers will be able to buy local reduced rate (31p) and ordinary rate stamps (36p), UK rate (43p) and European rate stamps (51p) for cash and Guernsey Post colleagues will be handing out Christmas cheer with mince pies and chocolates.

‘This is the third year we have offered this extra help,' said Shaun Lihou, Operations Manager. ‘It is important for us to do what we can to minimise queuing times for our customers at this busy time of the year and we will be continuing to have colleagues in both branches next week at these key times selling UK and local ordinary rate stamps.'
