Guernsey Post Appoints New Chief Executive

Guernsey Post's Board of Directors has announced that Boley Smillie has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive of Guernsey Post. Following an interim period in the post Mr Smillie will now take up the role permanently following a formal selection process conducted by the Board.

Dudley Jehan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: "The position of Chief Executive is crucial to the development of Guernsey Post so it is great news for the business that Boley has agreed to take on the role permanently. The breadth of his experience at Guernsey Post puts him in an excellent position to address the challenges currently facing the postal business and the Board is looking forward to working with him."

Mr Smillie, who was born and educated in Guernsey, joined Guernsey Post in 1991. The subsequent nineteen years have seen him gain a wide range of experience in a number of areas from Customer Services to Operations. In April this year, Mr Smillie was welcomed to the Board as Executive Director of Operations.
