Guernsey Post Mail Update - 30.06.11

Yesterday's mail plane, bound for the UK, failed to take off from Guernsey Airport last night due to a technical fault.
The part required to repair the fault has now arrived in the island and the plane is due fly back to the UK this morning.

Every effort has been made to minimise the delay to yesterday's northbound service; the mail is now scheduled to enter the Royal Mail network this afternoon.

Guernsey Post's contingency planning team arranged an additional mail plane to fly this morning's southbound mail in from the UK. Today's deliveries are therefore unaffected.
