Heavy Snowfall Delays Post

Heavy snowfall in parts of North East Scotland and North East England and North Yorkshire has affected Royal Mail's operation in parts of the country this morning (25th November 2010). Deliveries will be attempted in all affected areas, but only where it is safe for them to do so. The weather also had an impact on some of Royal Mail's overnight network.

Flights from and within Scotland together with routes operated from Newcastle were affected by last night's weather and Royal Mails contingency plan has been put in place, some delays are to be expected.
