Mail Situation Update - 9 January 2010

Guernsey

Due to the icy conditions on the island's roads the situation today is as follows:

Envoy House will not be open today - conditions at the entrance are too icy for safe access. As a result, Envoy House retail counter, the parcel collection office and private boxes are closed.

There will be no mail delivery or collections today.

The mail which arrived in the island overnight (Friday's mail) together with today's mail which arrived by air, will be processed today for delivery on Monday.

Smith Street post office is also closed.

Alderney

A mail delivery is being attempted today - this will be inbound mail from Tuesday and any local mail collected from the post boxes since then.

Sark

There will be no mail delivery today.
