Keepsafe (temporary retention of mail)
We can look after your mail while you are temporarily away from your home or office. This can also be useful for schools that are closed during the holidays as well as businesses and customers going on holiday.

The set-up fee is not payable on renewals of existing Keepsafe instructions, providing a minimum of seven days notice is given prior to expiry.
How to set up a Keepsafe service
The ‘Keepsafe’ application form is available from any Guernsey Post branch, Customer Services on 711720 or is available to download below. It must be completed by all residents at the address for whom the service will be in operation and returned to Customer Services at Envoy House at least seven working days before the service is required. Please ensure that the full terms and conditions have been understood before completing the form.

Terms and Conditions of use
- Mail can be held for a maximum of three months.
- Mail can be held for any one person at the same address, provided details and signatures are given on the application form.
- All types of mail can be held.
- Completed forms should be handed in or posted with your payment to Guernsey Post seven days before the Keepsafe is required to begin.
- A £15 set-up fee is included in the price of setting up a new Keepsafe instruction.
- If you wish to extend the Keepsafe period beyond the date indicated on the form and for which payment has been made, you need to notify Guernsey Post seven days before the expiry date and a new form, completed as before, should be provided.
- Failure to give seven days notice for renewals may result in a £15 set-up fee being charged.
- Unless customers specify otherwise, all held mail will be delivered on the first delivery day after the inclusive period indicated on the ‘Keepsafe’ application form. Deliveries will resume as usual thereafter.
- Businesses with multiple addresses will be priced on application. Please contact your account manager or Customer Services on 711720 for further information.
