Large Letter

The large letter format is for any items that are less than 353mm long, less than 250mm wide, less than 750g in weigh and up to 25mm thick for Bailiwick, UK, Jersey and Isle of Man items and up to 20mm thick for Europe/International items.

e.g. A4 paper in C4 envelopes, magazines, brochures and boxed CD or DVD

Minimum  Size

The minimum length for any item posted is 90mm, minimum width 140mm and the minimum thickness is 0.25mm.

Europe / International

Our International Standard Large Letter service is the quick and easy way to send a Large Letter to an overseas country. Insurance is not available for our International Standard Large Letter service and the service levels vary from country to country, so if you need a day-definite service, see FedEx.

If your Large Letter is large or bulky, be sure to mark it clearly with the words 'LETTER' and 'AIRMAIL' on the outside.

Please note that the maximum thickness for a Europe/International Large Letter is 20mm.

Standard Insurance

Your receipt must be retained as proof of posting and represents your acceptance of the terms and conditions of carriage.  It must be provided if you need to make a claim for damage or loss, together with proof of the cost of the item.
