Guernsey Post provides insurance up to a maximum of £500, £1,000 or £2,500 (£2,000 when import VAT is prepaid) for money, jewellery and other items lost or damaged during Special Delivery. Terms and conditions stipulate money and jewellery must be sent in Special Delivery prepaid envelopes.
To make a claim you must complete our customer claim form and return it, together with your receipt as proof of posting and proof of the cost of replacing your lost or damaged item, no later than 12 months from the date of posting.
