About the role
We are looking to recruit a responsible and conscientious individual who holds a HGV licence to join our postal team. The work will involve sorting and processing of outward-bound bulk mail for our customers, driving and loading/unloading of our trucks.
You’ll need to be flexible, enjoy being active at work and keen to learn new skills. You’ll also need to be self-motivated and able to work on your own.
Knowledge & skills required:
• Able to work quickly and accurately with good attention to detail.
• Good island knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of IT and technology.
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Physically fit with the ability to walk long distances and lift heavy items.
• HGV essential.
Hours
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Hours will be worked on a rota basis, the earliest you would start would be 05:00am and the latest finish time is 07:30pm.
Examples of shift patterns that would be worked:
06:00am - 1:30pm
07:00am - 2:30pm
10:30am – 06:00pm
12:00pm – 07:30pm

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals to join our retail team.
The main duties are day to day staffing of the Guernsey Post retail counter network, working both as an individual and team member to achieve high levels of service including sales and customer support in a manner that promotes the professional image of Guernsey Post.
You should enjoy working in a busy customer focused environment, be well presented with a welcoming and friendly manner.
The idea candidate will have:
• Excellent communications skills
• Experience dealing with customers
• Knowledge of IT applications (although full training will be given)
• A ‘can do’ attitude and ability to be flexible when required
Hours of work: 36 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings in rotation.
