Guernsey Post is pleased to announce that customers sending Letters and Packets under 2kg to authorised BFPO addresses this Christmas, will once again be able to post them for free.
The service will enable islanders to send packets under 2kg to Army, Air Force and entitled Ministry of Defence deployed civilians on overseas operations and onboard HM ships deployed overseas.
Conditions of use of the service are as follows:• Letters and Packets must be taken to Smith Street, Envoy House or the Alderney or Sark branch offices.• The latest recommended date for posting is Thursday 29th November 2012 for operational units and Thursday 13th December 2012 for static BFPO addresses.*• The country name should not appear anywhere in the address, and the BFPO number must be the last line of the address.
"We believe it's important to help keep family and friends in touch, especially during the Christmas period, and this is why we are continuing with the free BFPO posting initiative" says Cassandra Morris, Guernsey Post's Communication Manager.
