Guernsey Post is pleased to announce that, following a recent assessment, it has achieved Investors in People (IIP) Gold Standard Accreditation.
It is the only utility in Guernsey to achieve IIP endorsement and is one of just a small number of businesses within the Channel Islands to be awarded IIP Gold.
The company first received the IIP Standard in 2009 and last year was awarded the IIP Silver Standard with an invitation to apply for the highest IIP accreditation.
Michael Lynch, IIP Assessor said: "During my visit, I was delighted to see how Guernsey Post used the Investors in People framework to support continuous improvement and business development. Additionally, I found some exemplary practices in relation to people living the values of the organisation, a learning culture and an environment where continuous improvement was strived for. It was a pleasure completing the assessment."
Dudley Jehan, Guernsey Post Chairman went on to say: "We are extremely pleased to have received the highest accreditation for this internationally recognised standard. It acknowledges the continued hard work and commitment of our staff during a challenging period for the business."
As well as recognising the milestones Guernsey Post has achieved, IIP is an excellent benchmark for good business practice and provides the company with an action plan to ensure its continued development.
