- The cost of a Bailiwick stamp will increase by one penny, from 41p to 42p.
- The price of a UK stamp will rise from 55p to 56p - the first time that the UK Letter rate has increased in two years.
- Whilst the first weight steps (100g) for Bailiwick and UK Large letter stamps have increased, heavier Large Letter items and Packet prices have been frozen and in some cases reduced.
- Guernsey Post has now introduced both a European and Rest of World tariff for its customers. A European Letter (20g) is 62p and Rest of World (20g) letter rate is 68p.
Boley Smillie, Guernsey Post Chief Executive said:
"Our continued focus on efficiencies has enabled us to keep price increases to an absolute minimum and we believe our services remain affordable and competitive. In some areas we have even reduced our tariffs"
"This year the Royal Mail has increased the price of a letter to UK customers up to 63p. At just 56p for a UK stamp, our letter rate remains significantly cheaper. Our outlook over the coming year is challenging but we will continue to work hard to retain the most competitive rates possible." added Mr Smillie.
For customers wishing to find out more information, the full tariff will be available to download at www.guernseypost.com from Monday 18th May 2015.
