We are looking to recruit two responsible and conscientious individuals to join our postal team. The work involves preparing, collecting and delivering letters and parcels to addresses around the island.
Candidates will need the ability to work quickly and accurately with good attention to address details, have good knowledge of the island and a passion for good customer service. They will also need to be able to drive, ride a bike and walk long distances, so being physically fit and having a full driving licence is essential. No experience of postal work is required as full training will be provided.
One of the vacancies is for a full time postal worker (37.5 hours per week) and the second vacancy is for 29.5 hours per week. Both roles will be to work Monday to Friday on a shift basis. The ability to work additional hours and be flexible are essential.
The recruitment process involves a written aptitude test and a basic police clearance. Candidates with unspent convictions for dishonesty or drug offences will not be eligible for appointment.
