With the countdown to Christmas starting Guernsey Post are currently looking to recruit several Christmas casual workers to work from 12th October 2015 to 8th January 2016, Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 4 hours per day and flexibility to work additional hours when required.
You will need to be a responsible and conscientious individual and you will require a basic police clearance. Candidates with unspent convictions for dishonesty or drug offences will not be eligible for appointment.
The work involves delivering letters and parcels to addresses around the island, so you will need to have good local knowledge of the island, the ability to work quickly and accurately with good attention to address details and a passion for good customer service.
A driving licence would be desirable as the position may require you to drive a variety of postal vehicles. However, being physically fit is essential as you will need to be able to ride a bike and walk long distances. No experience of postal work is required as full training will be provided. Casual Workers will not be required to take the aptitude test.
