Issued: 29th November 2010
Due to extreme weather conditions delaying Saturday's mail, Guernsey Post used their contingency planning with Royal Mail to transport the mail by sea which arrived at Envoy House at 6.00am this morning.
Saturday's mail will therefore be delivered today. However, Customers should be aware that there may be houses/roads that aren't delivered to because of slippery conditions.
Unfortunately the closure of Guernsey Airport this morning means that today's mail is not expected until 6.00am tomorrow. All outbound mail is to be despatched today.
Envoy House, Smith St branches, the parcel collection office and BATIF are all open as normal.
Alderney Deliveries in Alderney will also take place today with Saturday's mail.
