Guernsey Post were lucky enough to have several post boxes receive a festive makeover recently by talented local crochet artist Tamara O'Brien.
This year Tamara designed and crocheted nine different toppers for post boxes around the island, hiding a letter on each of the designs that would spell out a Christmas themed word when put together. The competition ran from 1st to 19th December with two £50 Aladdin's Cave vouchers up for grabs. It was open to school children in two age categories; Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with one lucky winner for each category.
The lucky winners are Georgina Murphy from Key Stage 1 and Robert De Verneuil in Key Stage 2.
This is the second year the trail has been on at Christmas, and Tamara is already coming up with new ideas for next year's trail!
