COVID-19 Service Updates 2021

We shall post any updates as soon as we receive them concerning our postal services and post office outlet availability. Please watch this space and bear with us as we collect the information  and answers to your questions together. Thank you.

Post Office opening times until further notice

 Current opening times during the COVID-19 Lockdown period and beyond:

Customers must wear facemasks and observe social distancing measures when visiting any of our Post Office branches.

Open 8.30am to 4.00pm until further notice. Unable to offer Moneygram and Foreign Exchange due to current restrictions.
PO Box customers can collect their mail at Smith Street or choose to continue to collect from Envoy House.
EBOX Collection will resume from Monday 15th March.

Delivery times

Due to late airport opening times the mail will continue to arrive at 4pm and will depart with the despatch at the usual time. All mail received on the aircraft, including special delivery items, will now not be delivered until the following delivery day.

To give our posties more space in our sorting office we have staggered the times they start work. This means that your postie will be delivering your mail either a bit earlier or a bit later than usual.

Early morning mail collections reinstated at some post boxes

Early morning collections from roadside post boxes will be reinstated at some post boxes from Monday 15th March. Customers are urged to check the updated post box plates as some collection times have changed.

The last collection time for same day despatch to the UK for Special Delivery items has been extended to 4pm at most branches, except for Envoy House which has a 4.30pm cut off time and Smith Street which is currently 3.45pm to coincide with the temporary opening hours of the branch which are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm .

Yodel and Parcel Force collections

Please be aware that we are not collecting any Yodel or Parcel Force items until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please call our Customer Services team on 711720 if you have any queries.

Envoy House Mail Collection Counter to open on Monday 15th March

The Envoy House mail collection and EBOX collection counter will re-open from Monday 15th March,
7.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 12pm noon on Saturdays.

PO Box mail collection

Smith Street Private Box Mail customers can now collect their mail from Smith Street or choose to continue to collect from the Envoy House PO Box desk between 9am and 12 noon.

EBOX collection to resume from Monday 15th March

The Envoy House EBOX collection counter will re-open from Monday 15th March,
7.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 12pm noon on Saturdays.

Smith Street EBOX collection will also be available from Monday 15th during Post Office opening hours; 8.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Mail delivery to Alderney, Sark and Herm

Please note there will be some disruption to the arrival of mail in Alderney as we seek to utilise a combination of available sea and air schedules. Deliveries of mail to residents will be aligned with the arrival of mail onto the Island whenever possible.

 Mail to Sark will connect with the scheduled freighters on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 Mail to Herm will continue to connect with the current boat schedule.

 Mail will continue to be despatched from all islands, in line with available sea and air schedules.
