Guernsey’s post boxes reflect the island’s evolving postal history, beginning with the introduction of pillar boxes in 1853 after trials inspired by Anthony Trollope’s observations in Europe. This box, installed in May 1938, served the community until its closure in November 2025. It stands beside the mounting block from which John Wesley preached in 1787.
