The maximum size and weight that you can send varies depending on the destination. The tables below provide a summary of the limits and examples of typical items for each format.

Letters and Large Letters Sizes and Weights

Postcard and Letter

Minimum Size

Parcel Size and Weight Guide

Small parcel (Bailiwick, UK, IOM, Jersey)

Maximum Size

Length:45cm
Width:35cm
Thickness:16cm

Maximum Weight

Weight:2kg

  • CDs
  • Sunglasses
  • Stationery
  • Small Books
Small parcel (Europe & ROW)

Maximum Size

The combined length + width + depth must be no more than 90cm with no single side longer than 60cm.

If your item is larger or heavier than the above, it should be sent as a Large Parcel
Roll

Maximum Size

Diameter:7cm
Length:90cm
Combined Maximum Size:Length + twice the diameter
(combined no more than 104cm)

Weight:2kg

  • Wall Charts
If the length of the roll exceeds 45cm it should be classed as a medium parcel for UK and Bailiwick. For International destinations rolls are classed as small parcels.

The combined length, width and height for a Parcel must not exceed three metres.

For sending items under £270 in value, please attach a CN22 Customs form to your parcel.
Please note all Parcelforce items must have a CN23 Customs form attached. (see CN23 form for details)

CN23 Customs Form for items to UK, Jersey, Alderney and IOM

Please attach a CN23 Customs form to your packet/parcel when:

  • Sending items over £270 (even if sent by Special Delivery)
  • Sending items of any value if it is a large parcel (all large parcels have to go via Parcelforce)
  • Sending any size parcel by Parcelforce service (small or medium parcels can also be sent using Parcelforce)
