Post Box 18, Fermain

Guernsey’s post boxes reflect the island’s evolving postal history, which began with pillar boxes introduced in 1853 after trials inspired by Anthony Trollope. Known as Carrefour au Lièvre, this site originally housed a VR box dating from 1859, later replaced by the present box. Although its installation date is unrecorded, it served the community until its closure in November 2025 following a usage review.
