Post box 3, Rouge Huis Avenue

Guernsey’s post boxes reflect the island’s evolving postal history, beginning with the introduction of pillar boxes in 1853 after trials inspired by Anthony Trollope’s observations in Europe. This George V box, installed in May 1973, served the community until its closure in November 2025. Nearby lived Margaret Neve (1792–1903), one of the first people recorded as living in three centuries.
